obsessed

Lately, i have been obsessed with kawaii nails, they're so impractical but unbelievably cute!

I'm thinking of trying some out. Would you wear this style of nail art?

Expensive Taste

I was looking on Vivre.com recently and spotted these two chandeliers by Erickson Beamon.

This first one is called the 'Talking Heads Chandelier' and will set you back $40,000.
It's made from pearls, Swarovski crystals, vintage cameos and other vintage jewelry pieces. I love the decadence of it, the lush pink with all the pears and crystals hanging on it...

The other one i spotted is called 'Glam Rock Chandelier' which costs $37,500, also by Erickson Beamon. This one is made with Japanese glass pearls, Swarovski crystals, glass and brass chain, all on an antique brass base. This chandelier is more conventional compared to the talking heads one, but still has that something that makes it more interesting than a traditional chandelier.

Both of these remind me of Tarina Tarantino jewelry, which i love...

April favourites

It's a bit late but here are some of my April favourites :)

The royal wedding - I was so happy Kate chose to wear Alexander McQueen, she looked beautiful!
I've also been craving dip-dyed hair for a while. Can't choose what colour though...

My favourite trend of the moment is colour blocking,
During April I've been wearing more dramatic false eyelashes, i love them! My favourites so far are a pair i got on sale from Claire's! I've also been wanting to try a coral lipstick, such a nice colour...

My final favourite from April is Gossip Girl. I've been re-watching them from the first series, it's addictive! So jealous of Serenas wardrobe too;

Spring candy crackle nails

I bought the new Barry M instant nail effects in '314' (the pink one) recently and thought id give it a try with this lilac colour i already had by 17 'lasting fix nail polish' in the colour 'parma violet'.
It's suitable for spring and summer, could also be used in winter months to brighten your day!
i love how it turned out :)

I painted my nails with two coats of parma violet first. Let that completely dry, then paint over it with the instant nail effects. The trick to doing the crackle right is to do it fast! I did a thin coat as I like bigger cracks, you can do a thicker coat if you prefer smaller cracks. The crackle will dry matte, so I suggest using a clear top coat to get it nice and shiny. I used GOSH 'F3 top coat'.

The pictures aren't that great, but i'm looking for a new camera to take better pictures. Comment if you have any suggestions :)

Just getting started,
